Istituto di Moda Burgo Indonesia at Hong Kong Fashion Week

Partnering with Burgo mentor, Ali Charisma, four of our best students and alumni will present their work at Hong Kong Fashion Week, next week

Hong Kong Fashion Week

Following its main mission to leverage Burgo talent at international level, Istituto di Moda Burgo Indonesia is excited to bring four of its best students (also known as Burgonians) to Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2018, between January 15 and 18, 2018.

The Mentor: Ali Charisma

Istituto di Moda Burgo Indonesia will be partnering with Ali Charisma, Founder and Chairman of Indonesian Fashion Chamber, for the second time following the success of his mentorship program during Jakarta Fashion Week 2018, last October.

Participating Burgonians:

Raegita Zoro
Raegita Zoro, the creative director behind RAEGITAZORO started her first fashion venture in 2005 as shoes designer. She enrolled to Burgo Indonesia in 2013 and graced Jakarta Fashion Week in two consecutive years: 2017 and 2018. Her punk-influenced designs have been worn by Maudy Koesnaedi as well as Indonesian Idol winner, Nowela. 

Jessica Welia Halim
A demi couture womenswear label named after its creative director’s initial: Jessica Welia Halim. She enrolled to Burgo Indonesia in 2015 and launched JWH during Jakarta Fashion Week 2018. Her ultra feminine and ethnic designs have been worn by Miss Global Malaysia 2017.

Rilya Krisnawati
JUMPANONA is a jewelry label by Rilya Krisnawati, with strength in gold pleated brass-work in organic shapes.
Rich in culture but playful, JUMPANONA was debuted in Jakarta Fashion Week 2017 and has represented Indonesia during World Ikat Textiles Symposium – World Eco Fiber Textiles Forum 2017 in Sarawak, Malaysia .

Julianto
A luxury eveningwear debuted in Jakarta Fashion Week 2018 named after its creative director, Julianto – who started his designing portfolio by launching diffusion made-by-order line MOJUYA in 2014.
 His signature pieces ranging from light-weighted gowns to strong tailoring – both in earth tones and impeccable embellishments.

  • Istituto di Moda Burgo Indonesia conducts mentorship programmes with senior fashion designers in order to prepare students to enter the real fashion industry (previous mentors: Ardistia New York and Ali Charisma).

  • Istituto di Moda Burgo Indonesia showcases not only ready-to-wear labels but also jewelries, handbags and shoes during national and international fashion events.

  • Istituto di ModaBurgo Indonesia promotes students to international fashion show and trade fairs.
